1475. De-ticking a heavily infested Border Collie

"Look, look, Dr Sing!" my new assistant said, "So many many ticks in this dog!"  He had never seen several thousands big fat bodies gorging blood from the Border Collie.

I had to teach him how to bathe the Collie in a tick wash in a tub or in the bathroom. Then we had to slowly take out the dead ticks one by one. It was a time-consuming procedure. The owner is then advised to give oral anti-tick medication to prevent relapses as his dog is in the garden. The garden had to be de-ticked and the grass cut short too. The dog would be quarantined in another section of the garden for the time being and checked for ticks daily.
